We told you yesterday about the great line-up of local performers scheduled for the July 4th festival at the Chenango County Fairgrounds, but there is plenty to do in addition to enjoying the  live music all day.

There will be a Karaoke contest at 10 AM, the Ross Park Zoomoblie is open from 2-5, there's a hot dog eating contest at 2:30, and of course plenty of food, crafts and more.

New this year is an incredible Monster Truck Show, in fact two shows. The first is scheduled for 1PM with the evening show at 7.

The hot air balloon launch is at 6 PM, and of course, the night ends with an awesome fireworks display at dusk.   Proceeds for the day, which, by the way, is co-sponsored by the Norwich Elks Lodge, will benefit the Chenango County  Sheriff's Memorial Fund.

Plenty to do for the whole family July 4th at the fairgrounds in Norwich.
