
32 Charged in Western NY Drug Ring Bust
State Police Superintendent Joseph D’Amico and the Attorney General’s office announced Thursday that 32 people have been charged with operating two large-scale drug distribution networks that funneled narcotics into western New York.
The multi-agency 13-month investigation known as "Operation Crazy Train” included covert surveillance and hundreds of hours of wiretaps.
Over the course of the investigation, authorities seized nearly $1 million worth of heroin, several hundred thousand dollars worth of cocaine and tens of thousands of dollars cash.
