Another “Speed Week” Campaign Underway
The New York State Police are in the middle of another week long initiative to crack down on aggressive and speeding drivers. According to police officials, the goal of the “Speed Week” campaign is to reduce speed related crashes and improve roadway safety.
In last year’s campaign State Police issued nearly 22,000 tickets with around half for speeding and over 600 for distracted driving. The Speed Week campaign continues until Tuesday.
