Utility crews are working hard this morning on a large number of downed power lines from falling trees and tree limbs all over Chenango, Delaware, and Otsego Counties. The City of Oneonta had enough such downed lines that a "State of Emergency" of declared until further notice to warn area residents of no unnecessary travel in the city to keep everyone safe.

There's no official snow total yet since at this time the storm warning from the National Weather Service will last until noon today. As a guess, it looks like Oneonta received around 6 inches and I've heard reports of around 12 inches outside of the city.

We do have a "Wind Advisory" that will run for our area from 10:00 am today until 9:00 pm tonight.

At this time, thousands of NYSEG customers in Chenango, Delaware, and Otsego Counties are without power as crews attempt to restore it as quickly as possible. Below are the number of customers currently without power:
- Chenango County: 11,291
- Delaware County: 7,981
- Otsego County: 9,746
