Buffalo Bills Eye Training Camp Return to Rochester
NFL Training camp is a special experience. Generally, it is a low cost, if not free, way for fans, especially young fans to get up close to the players that they see on their large tv's every Sunday during the NFL season. Buffalo Bills training camp had been held at St. John Fisher College since 2000. The pandemic forced most NFL teams back into their home stadium facilities for ease of containment last season and this season as well.
Buffalo Fans Welcomed by Bills to Training Camp
If you have never been, training camp is a blast, whether it's the Bills, Giants, Jets or Patriots. Players are more relaxed and some stay for hours signing autographs and you get to see the way professional players practice. These guys work hard and it is fun to watch. The Bills will have two more open practices at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo. Tickets are free but are limited. Go to buffalobills.com/training-camp/ to reserve tickets.
Saratoga Is Ready for a “Jim Dandy” of a Weekend
One of the very cool aspects of living near the historic Saratoga Race Course is you get to see the best race horses in the world compete live. They walk right through the crowd on their journey from their stables across the street, to starting gate. This weekend is an awesome example with 2021 Belmont Stakes winner Essential Quality highlighting the entries in Saturday's 58th running of the Grade 2 Jim Dandy Stakes. Essential Quality and Hot Rod Charlie battled it out for the 1 1/2 mile race only to see Essential Quality win by a length and a half.
New York Helping New York
It's funny how some Yankee fans despise the Mets and vice versa. However, when the Mets can help the Yankees by grounding the Jays or the Bombers can assist the Amazin's by dusting the Phils, well then we are all New Yorkers and let's help each other! Right? Right!
Same City…Opposite Directions
This weekend's Subway Series between the Mets and Yankees was one to remember and another one to forget. Which one depends on who you ask. Queens will have one answer and the Bronx may give you a gesture instead.

America's pastime has to have a special place in people's heart on Independence Day in the United States.
