Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani At DICK'S Sporting Goods Open

By now, you've heard that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani got married on Saturday, July 3rd. I think that it's ironic that Blake and Gwen got hitched the same weekend as the DICK'S Sporting Goods Open.

You may remember that Shelton played the Friday night concert at the DSG Open on August 17th, 2018. You may remember that the year before, in what many call "the Bon Jovi incident" some changes were made (allegedly) for the Friday night concert.

As you may recall, in 2017, Bon Jovi got held up at the airport because of bad weather and he arrived many hours late and let many of his fans upset. So the DICK;'S Sporting Goods Open made a new rule (allegedly) that the Friday night act had to be in town the day before.

This year, Old Dominion not only showed up early but they even participated in the Pro-Am with John Daly on Thursday afternoon. It was rainy but it looked like everyone had a great time.

Back to 2018, Blake Shelton was scheduled to perform and he not only showed up ahead of time but he brought his girlfriend Gwen Stefani and her kids with him. They all went to Animal Adventure to visit April the Giraffe. I was able to get a few pictures of her relaxing backstage and she really seemed to enjoy her time in the Southern Tier.

The big question that was being asked by the crowds was whether or not Gwen would come out and sing with him. This was several years before their duet "Happy Anywhere" or "Nobody But You" were released.

Unfortunately, she never took the stage but it was great having them in the area and from all accounts, they were all gracious and seemed to enjoy our part of the world. Congratulations Blake and Gwen on tying the knot. You can check out their timeline of love below.
