Commerce Chenango is inviting the public to eat, drink and be merry at the Chenango County Wine, Beer and Food Festival. The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 30 at the Chenango County Fairgrounds in Norwich.
After a two year hiatus due to Covid, the Audubon Summer Camps will return this season. There will be two sessions. The July 25-28 session is for children entering grades 3 and 4. And the August 15-18 session is for youngsters entering grades 5 and 6.
NYS is observing the 26th annual Maple Weekend at farms throughout the region. Funded by the state department of Agriculture and Markets, Maple Weekend gives the public an opportunity to learn about the maple sugar making processes.
Energy Smart Hartwick recently kicked off its Electric Vehicle Community Campaign with a webinar. This is the first step in getting the town of Hartwick designated as a Climate Smart Community. The designation will make the town eligible for state clean energy grants.

Unfortunately, it's looking more and more like this could indeed be the final Pumpkin Festival in Norwich. The 20th annual festival is this Friday and Saturday, October 26th and 27th. Organizers have labelled this year's event as "20th Annual Pumpkin Festival, Our Final Farewell."
