Chenango County Sheriff Ernest R. Cutting Jr. has been elected 2nd Vice Chair of the Executive Committee of the New York State Sheriff’s Association. Cutting will work with the newly elected President of the Association, Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts, and Sheriffs around the state, to further the efforts of the Sheriffs’ Association to enhance public safety through professional training and accreditation programs, public safety programs, and advocacy. The association was formed in 1934 and is comprised of all the elected and appointed Sheriffs in New York.
