Christopher’s Restaurant Destroyed By Fire

The investigation continues into a fire that destroyed a legendary Oneonta restaurant early Saturday morning. Authorities say over a dozen other fire companies joined Oneonta firemen to battle the blaze at Christopher’s Restaurant on Highway 28.

The fire had spread into the roof area a short time after crews arrived so according to officials a defensive posture was taken to get the flames out. Water had to be trucked in to fight the fire as there’s no hydrants in the area.
