We certainly are suckers for nostalgia, aren't we?  Acts such as Styx, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Alice Cooper, and Foreigner are still big draws wherever they play.  Foreigner, of course, will be in Oneonta next week.

70's and 80's TV shows are being re-made for television or the big screen. (Dallas, Charlie's Angels, Green Hornet, Munsters, to name a few).  There is even a renewed interest in vinyl.  Yes, the "long playing" record album is still around.  Of course, if you are under 30, there is a good chance you have never seen an LP or the original versions of the aforementioned shows.

You may also have never seen another "relic" that appears to be making a comeback of sorts-the typewriter.  Those of us who are, let's say, more mature, remember the joy of the IBM Selectric, and now there seems to be a new generation of typewriter enthusiasts.  A group of 20 year olds from Boston even formed the "Boston Typewriter Orchestra."

Is it indeed time for a "Typewriter Renaissance?" Click on the link, read the article and see who is discovering, or re-discovering these machines that go "clickety-clack."
