The New York State legislature wraps up the 2017 session on Wednesday and one of the hot button issues remaining is the passage of the Child Victims ActIt lengthens the limitation from the age of 23 to 28 to file a criminal complaint along with giving victims until the age of 50 to file a civil suit. The measure has been approved by the house but in the past the bill has come before the state senate before with no action taken.
