Grammy Nominee Shemekia Copeland Coming To The Chenango Blues Fest

She has opened for the Rolling Stones, headlined at the Chicago Blues Festival, been twice nominated for a Grammy, and Shemekia Copeland is coming to Norwich.

Copeland will appear at the 21st Annual Chenango Blues Fest August 17th on the main stage.  She has shared the stage with such greats as Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, and has performed at the White House for President and Mrs. Obama.

Her latest CD, "33 1/3" was released last fall and received a Grammy nomination for Best Blues Album.
