Remember OH-Fest, a free event that used to take place in Downtown Oneonta at this time every year? It was a collaborative effort between SUNY Oneonta, Hartwick College, and the City of Oneonta to present a fun, family event with carnival games, live music, and food vendors. Sadly, that event was dissolved a few years ago (last held in 2019) but Hartwick College has taken that same idea to bring fun into the Oneonta community with Hawks Town Fever, this Saturday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Oneonta's Main Street.

It will feature many of the same things we loved about OH-Fest: a street festival atmosphere with carnival games, food trucks, street vendors, free t-shirts, performances, live music, a zip line, and inflatables. The performers mentioned are: Love Lagoon, King Konye, Skinz, Naz Phillipe, and Ben Hurlbert. There will be a mix of free offerings with vendors selling various products.

According to Hartwick College officials, the purpose of Hawks Town Fever is to bring the community and college students together to celebrate the ending of the college year which is right around the corner.

We are all so ready for this, especially families who are always looking for free or low-cost fun activities to do with their kids. If you ask me, it sounds like adults will enjoy this just as much as kids. Hawks Town Fever had me at zip line and food trucks!
