Susquehanna SPCA Pet of the Week – Smokey
Meet the Susquehanna SPCA “Pet of the Week” – her name is Smokey. Each week on Thursday mornings at 8:30 am on Classic Hits 103.1fm, Josh will host Allison Hungerford, licensed Vet Tech at the Susquehanna SPCA, who will tell us all about a special dog or cat at the shelter looking for its forever home which has been overlooked by visitors for some reason. Many times, it's because many animals are shy while in the shelter because it can be a stressful situation! Once adopted, many cats and dogs warm right up to their owners.
Meet Smokey, a calm and quiet 3-year-old female cat who is still getting comfortable in her new environment. While we’re still learning about her, Smokey has already shown that she enjoys peaceful surroundings and tends to keep to herself. She’s gentle and takes her time to warm up, but when she feels safe, she’s a sweet and serene companion. Smokey would thrive in a calm, low-stress home where she can relax and gradually build trust. If you’re looking for a laid-back kitty to join your family, Smokey could be the perfect fit!
Come meet Smokey and the other adoptable pets today - Susquehanna SPCA is open from 11am to 5pm.
To meet Smokey or any of the other adoptable dogs and cats, give the SQSPCA a call at 607-547-8111 to schedule a time to visit for convenience and for more personal attention from staff, although walk-ins are welcome.
