King Calaway’s Chris Deaton and his fiancee Molli Benson just said “I do!” The drummer tied the knot with his longtime love on Saturday (Sept. 21).

Deaton and Benson's wedding ceremony took place at Homestead Manor in Thompson Station, Tenn. His groomsmen were none other than his "family," the five other members of King Calaway: Austin Luther, Caleb Miller, Simon Dumas, Chad Michael Jervis and Jordan Harvey.

"There’s no place we’d rather be on this special day than standing beside our brother while he marries his beautiful bride," the band tells People. "We’re so lucky to have had so many moments and memories together that have brought us closer as a band and as brothers, and this is one we’ll never forget."

Deaton says he asked his bandmates to be his groomsmen in a way that was natural, but still felt like a special moment: "We had all picked up guitars and were just laughing and having a good time," he recalls. "All of them flipped out. Chad Michael Jervis bawled. It was a great moment."

Benson wore a Sarah Seven dress for the wedding ceremony. "As soon as I saw the dress on me, I knew it was the one," she says of the gown. "I think I knew because I was excited for Chris to see me in it."

Nashville restaurant Puckett's Grocery catered Deaton and Benson's reception. The local spot hold special significance to Deaton's family: His parents got married there.

During the reception, the couple's first dance was to Bruno Mars' "Perm," an upbeat song to which they performed a choreographed number. It was a fitting moment for the pair, who met in theater class while in high school and began dating soon after.

Deaton proposed to Benson in December of 2017, when he was washing buses for money. "So that shows how much faith she has in me. She loves me unconditionally," he says.

"It’s been very special to watch Chris develop bonds with the other five guys in the band," Benson says of her now-husband's career choice. King Calaway formed after Deaton and Benson began dating.

"Not only is the music amazing," she adds, "but they’re just some of the best people that we know. I can see how happy he is when he’s with the guys."

King Calaway are set to release their debut album, Rivers, on Oct. 4.
