Commerce Chenango is gearing up for the first annual Chobani-Chamber Challenge 5k run/walk through downtown Norwich on Sept. 15. Event coordinator Jill Eddy said they’ve had a great response from out of the area.

Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich was presented with a gift of more than $255,000 Friday from Chobani’s charitable arm, the Sheperd’s Gift foundation.

At 2:30 p.m. Chobani founder, president and CEO Hamdi Ulukaya will present Chenango Memorial Hospital with more than $255,000 to help purchase a new state of the art X-ray machine.
