Robbery

Chenango County Sheriff's received a distressing call regarding an elderly couple who had been attacked and robbed by a man serving as their Home Health Aid.

The Chenango County Sheriff's Office reports that shortly after 5 A.M. on Monday, October 8th, they received a complaint of a robbery at the Mirabito convenience store on North Main St. in Sherburne. The report says the suspect forcibly stole items and then threw hot coffee in the face of the cashier before fleeing south on North Main.

A Brooklyn man received 26 years for robbing the same bank twice in a two-week period.
