
Two Juveniles Arrested For Setting A Fire At BOCES
The Chenango County Sheriff's Office have arrested two youths for setting a fire at the Chenango campus of BOCES.
A structure fire was reported on January 13th, 2014. Upon investigation it is alleged that two BOCES students, a female aged fifteen of Sidney and a male aged seventeen of Norwich, started a fire in a bathroom. The fire was quickly contained and there was only minor damage.
Both defendants were arrested on the charges of arson, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, conspiracy, and endangering the welfare of a child. The female was issued an appearance ticket and released to a parent. The male was arraigned in the Town of Norwich court and is being held on $1000 cash bail.
Both are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
