The New York Giants will have some higher expectations this season for 2023 as they are coming off of a season where they won 10 games including one playoff win.  Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen have proven to be the right hires for General Manager and Head Coach.  Daniel Jones signed a nice new contract this offseason and had the best season of his career.  Running back Saquon Barkley also had a career season and stayed healthy for all of it too.  However, Saquon is still visibly frustrated on how both the Giants and his people can't come to terms on a new contract extension.  Saquon will be getting $10.1 million guaranteed with the franchise tag but has repeatedly said that we wants a new deal worth more money, probably in the range of $15 million like some of the best running backs are making in the National Football League.

MJ and I discussed Saquon and the Giants situation earlier this morning right here on Big Board Sports.  We both agree something has to get done and fast because the Giants need Saquon in the backfield as the season begins.  Below is our full conversation on this.

Brian Daboll was especially short with the media as even he is becoming frustrated that little to no progress has been made.  I am confident that the Giants front office will get this deal done.  The Giants will have another good season if Saquon is their running back.  He is a great player on the field and an even better person off of the field and he deserves more money and hopefully the Giants give it to him soon.
