Are You Addicted To Oreos? Don’t Laugh, You Just Might Be
It's one of those studies where some scientist has way too much time on his hands and way too much grant money to spend, but here you go. In a study of lab rats, Connecticut College scientists found that an Oreo cookie activated even more neurons in the brain's pleasure center than drugs such as cocaine or even morphine.
Apparently the study was to determine if if high-fat, high-sugar foods were addictive, and it appears the answer is yes. Read more on this "remarkable" discovery here.
So what is your favorite way to eat an Oreo? Dipped in milk maybe? The rats preferred, are you ready? To eat it from the cream filled middle out.
