Sunday, July 5th at 2 PM, 6 On The Square invites everyone to a free outdoor concert in LaFayette Park in Oxford to hear the "amped up powerhouse" that is Spuyten Duyvil.  This group from Yonkers features the soaring vocals of Beth Kaufman who has a beautiful, clear gospel tinged voice.

Spuyten Duyvil (which means " spitting devil" in Dutch) has traditional jug band energy, slide guitar, and Chicago style blues harp which propels listeners on a barn burning romp through the last 100 years of American Roots music. They draw on influences from the 70's to the present, from outlaw country to newgrass to folk-pop. They just released their third full length CD, "The Social Music Hour Vol 1."

The weather forecast is for lots of sunshine for this 2 PM show, so come early and bring a chair! Check out the song below. Wow, they are good!
