Chenango K-9 Unit Assists in Smithville, NY Arrest

An Oxford man is apprehended on a warrant for felony grand larceny. Police say they went to a Smithville home to serve the warrant on William Hatton but he refused to surrender. A Chenango County K-9 team was called in and found Hatton hiding in a crawl space. He was then taken into custody and booked into the Chenango County Jail on $2,000 cash bail. There’s been no word on if additional charges are pending from the arrest.
