Delaware And Chenango Counties Police Blotter: September 12

All crimes described in police media releases are allegations. Named suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

Anthony Fehrmann, 26, of Sherburne was arrested by state troopers based in Norwich. Fehrmann was charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Christopher M. Yeary and charged him with criminal contempt for violating an Order of Protection. Yeary is also facing a charge of obstructing governmental administration. Authorities say he physically obstructed an officer attempting to take him into custody.

Following a traffic stop September 10th, Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 20-year-old Louis Manzanares of Uniondale and issued him uniformed traffic tickets for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree, Unlicensed Operator, Failure to Dim Lights and Uninspected Motor Vehicle.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies received a complaint the night of August 29th from 56-year-old Carolyn Brenna of Colchester, that there were people on her property and refusing to leave. Further investigation of the incident revealed that Brenna allegedly purchased alcoholic beverages for minors, which they consumed at her residence, became intoxicated, resulting in the reported disturbance. Deputies subsequently arrested Brenna on two counts of Criminal Nuisance in the Second Degree, a Class B Misdemeanor and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor.

State police based in Cobleskill arrested Nicholas Kozak, 26, of Schoharie for driving while intoxicated.

Margaretville troopers arrested 21-year-old Joseph Hayes of Fleischmanns and charged him with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and driving while intoxicated.

Joshua Cook, 40, of Richford was arrested by Norwich troopers and charged with criminal mischief.

Village of Delhi police arrested 31-year-old Michael T. Varian of Delhi. Varian was charged with petit larceny.

FOUND! Wreckage from World War 2 Cargo Plane in the Adirondacks

The remains of an American cargo plane that went down back in 1944 was located by some adventurers in 2021. It took almost a year for the wreckage to be found after the plane crashed and wasn't officially memorialized until 1997.

The location of the crash is on a remote part of Blue Ridge Mountain, near the town of Speculator in Hamilton County.
