Officials from state and federal teachers’ unions and educators gathered Saturday afternoon near the New York State Capitol Building in Albany for an education rally calling for reforms to the state’s education system and additional funds. At the top of the list of concerns were the state’s testing standards.

In response, Assemblyman Cliff Crouch will hold a roundtable discussion June 27 at the Chenango Valley Central School District.

The discussion will focus on the issues facing the state’s education system. Assemblyman Crouch and others will discuss such issues as the annual teacher performance reviews, state testing, unfunded mandates and common core.
