If you’ve got frozen pizza in your freezer, there’s a new recall you need to know about. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has issued a recall for several products sold at big retailers like Aldi and Walmart; brands that might be in your kitchen right now.

The Reason for the Recall

This recall started with contaminated dry milk powder found in certain meat and poultry products. The Food Safety and Inspection Service learned from the FDA that this ingredient had already been recalled because of possible salmonella contamination.

The contaminated milk powder then made its way into other foods, including frozen pizzas that many families buy.

Which Frozen Pizzas and Snacks Are Affected?

Recalled items include Mama Cozzi’s breakfast pizzas at Aldi, Great Value chicken bacon ranch pizzas at Walmart, a Culinary Circle frozen pizza, and certain Pork King’s pork rind products. These are all popular brands you might have at home.

Most of these products have best-by dates from February through August 2026, so there’s a good chance they could still be in your freezer right now.

What to Do If You Have These Products

If you have any of these products at home, don’t eat them. The advice is simple: throw them away or return them to the store for a refund. It’s not worth the risk.

There haven’t been any confirmed illnesses reported so far, but health officials aren’t taking any chances.

What Is Salmonella and Why Is It Dangerous?

Salmonella is a bacteria that can cause serious illness. According to the Mayo Clinic, symptoms like diarrhea, stomach cramps, and fever can start a few hours to several days after eating contaminated food. These symptoms may last up to a week and can be especially dangerous for children, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems.

Why Taking This Recall Seriously Matters

It’s easy to ignore recalls, especially when no one has gotten sick yet. However, a quick check of your freezer now can save you from a week of feeling miserable, or worse.
