Country Star Mitchell Tenpenney Slated To Play Vikings Kickoff Concert
Big news for fans of country music - and football! Mitchell Tenpenney has been tapped to play a kickoff concert for the Minnesota Vikings next month.
This is going to be a massive show considering the Minnesota Vikings will be facing off against their NFC North Division rivals, the Green Bay Packers. You don't have to be a football fan to know this is a big deal!
The special kickoff concert will also be a great way to kick off the new season, which will be the first with the Vikings' new head coach Kevin O'Connell. He seems to have a different coaching style than the previous head coach Mike Zimmer and it will be a big game for him when the season kicks off in September.
It will also be quite the game considering O'Connell recently said that Packers fans were not welcome in the stands at U.S. Bank Stadium! He said that he doesn't ever want to see rival colors in the stand. For this reason alone, you know it's going to be a rowdy game.
Prior to the kickoff, country star Mitchell Tenpenney will help kick off the season with a big show right at the stadium! The show will take place at the Commons with gates opening at 10 am and the country star hitting the stage at 1 pm that afternoon.
The Commons is located in between 4th and 5th Street right next to the stadium. It is also a short walk from the Vikings Longhouse and the Beer Garden. Even if you aren't a football fan, this concert might be enough to turn you into one for a day.
The event is completely free and open to the public. You don't need a ticket to the game to enjoy the show. There will also be appearances by the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders and the SKOL Line.
It's going to be a rowdy concert followed by a wild game of football! The country star is already having an incredible year. He just scored his second number one for his song with Chris Young called At The End Of A Bar.
Not only that, but he also has a solo single that is in the top ten on the country music charts. It is continuing to climb and will likely be another number one hit at some point in the next month or two. SKOL!
