About The Artists: Sam Hunt & Russell Dickerson
Sam Hunt first hit the country music scene as a hot songwriter back in 2012, when he'd write hits for country music stars like Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, and others before eventually gaining attention for his own songs.
Hunt made his artist debut back in 2014 with his album Montevallo, a revealing self-portrait told through the sounds of his native Georgia roots - the incorporation of country, hip-hop, and R&B (which he still hits in his latest releases, too).
His breakthrough singles “Leave the Night On,” “Take Your Time,” “House Party,” and “Break Up in a Small Town,” all went platinum-certified while basking in real crossover-genre success.
Many already know Russell Dickerson as an epic songwriter; in 2017, his gold-certified full-length debut, Yours, landed at #5 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart and #1 on the Emerging Artists Chart.
The album produced three consecutive #1 smashes, including the double-platinum “Yours” (christened “One of the hottest wedding songs of the year” by The Knot), the platinum “Blue Tacoma,” and platinum “Every Little Thing.”
In 2020, Russell Dickerson received a nomination in the “Best New Male Artist of the Year” category at the American Country Music Awards - not to mention, he's already been on tour with the likes of Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line, Darius Rucker, Lady A, Kane Brown and now, Sam Hunt.
