Meet the Susquehanna SPCA “Pet of the Week” – her name is “Astrid”. Every Tuesday morning on Classic Hits 103.1fm, Allison Hungerford, licensed Vet Tech at the Susquehanna SPCA, will tell us all about a special dog or cat at the shelter looking for its forever home which has been overlooked by visitors for some reason. Many times, it's because many animals are shy while in the shelter because it can be a stressful situation! Once adopted, many cats and dogs warm right up to their owners.

This week we are going to feature Astrid, a 3-year-old Labrador/Husky mix, who is ready for her forever home! Astrid is a very well-mannered girl who adores everyone she meets. She loves to go for rides in the car, is housetrained, and even knows basic commands and tricks! Astrid is true to her breed in that she loves to run and play, so she would benefit from an active family who will keep her busy. This sweetie prefers to be the princess of her house, so she should be the only pet in her new family.

To meet Astrid or any of the other adoptable dogs and cats, give the SQSPCA a call at 607-547-8111 to schedule a time to visit for convenience and for more personal attention from staff, although walk-ins are welcome.
