NFL Training camp is a special experience. Generally, it is a low cost, if not free, way for fans, especially young fans to get up close to the players that they see on their large tv's every Sunday during the NFL season. Buffalo Bills training camp had been held at St. John Fisher College since 2000. The pandemic forced most NFL teams back into their home stadium facilities for ease of containment last season and this season as well.

If you have never been, training camp is a blast, whether it's the Bills, Giants, Jets or Patriots. Players are more relaxed and some stay for hours signing autographs and you get to see the way professional players practice. These guys work hard and it is fun to watch. The NFL draft is tonight and many teams are hoping to get some much-needed help to improve their team.

The final week of the regular NFL season was completed and all 16 games were played in a season riddled with a worldwide virus that forced many events to cancel. If the NFL season started this week, fans wouldn't be allowed to attend not only in the stands but not even in the parking lots. The Buffalo Bills, the only New York team that plays in New York state would not be allowed any spectators if the season started soon or even by the fall because of the coronavirus.

The Buffalo Bills have been calling the Pittsford campus of St. John Fisher home to training camp practices since 2000. This summer they will not return however.

For Bills fans, the real draft picks begin Friday in rounds two and three, since the Bills included their first round selection in the deal that brought Diggs in for some added offensive firepower.
