It's been 28 years since the release of  what has become a movie classic, "Back To The Future." While Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd will always be linked to their characters in the film, one "star"  of the film seems to be all but forgotten. Real fans of the flick might remember that it was November 12th, 1955 when lightening struck the clock tower, sending Marty McFly and the DeLorean back to the future, 1985.

What you may not know, and I certainly didn't, is the rich history of that clock tower which sits on a Universal Studios back lot. The clock tower was originally built in 1948 to be used in the movie "An Act of Murder" starring Frederic March.  Since then, in addition to the Back to The Future films, it was seen in movies featuring Gregory Peck, Jim Carrey,  and many more.

See for yourself here how many times you may have seen that famous clock tower.
