We were joined in the studio Tuesday morning by Carolyn Walsh, a volunteer with the local group "All Animals Matter." She explained that the group provides people assistance with the cost of spaying and neutering dogs and cats in Chenango County. They also try to help control the feral cat population in the county with a trap-neuter and release program.

This Saturday, March 22nd they will hold a fundraising event at the Norwich Fire Station on East Main Street. It's the 4th annual "Spay-ghetti" dinner and Chinese auction from 5-8 PM. Dinner includes drink, bread, salad, spaghetti, meatballs and pie for just 8 dollars for adults, 12 and under 5 dollars and under 5 eat free.

The Chenango SPCA will also be on hand with some adoptable dogs and Little Mews Cat Rescue will also have cats for adoption. For more on this event and the organization, listen to the entire interview with Carolyn below.
